Like so many people, I was on the edge of my seat watching Felix Baumgartner take a step into the unknown.

It was an incredible moment and one I’ll never forget.

You can imagine that the coverage Red Bull got as a result was substantial (and well deserved in my opinion).

But as a brand, what would Red Bull do next?

How could you even attempt to top Felix’s jump?

Do you even try?

You might not even care, but I think the follow-up was superb and worth watching.

Apparently it was released a few weeks after the jump so all planned well in advance (clever little marketing people to keep the momentum going).

It serves as a nice little reminder that Red Bull don’t just do one offs, but have supported everything crazy in the world of adrenaline junkies for a long time.

I’ve watched it a few times now and it still gives me goosebumps.

Another bonus was learning a new word.

Kluge.

“A witty, yet inelegant solution that succeeds in performing a particular task.”

Now, to figure out how to put that into everyday conversation.
